3 Cleaning Cloths Put to the Test: My Honest Review – And Which One’s Actually Worth It

Independently tested

Paid for myself

Straight-up review

With a clear recommendation

By Karen M. | 3. August 2025 | 09:47 AM

I’m Karen, 52, and over the years I’ve tried just about everything to keep my bathroom glass, mirrors and kitchen benches clean – nothing ever worked for long.

No matter what I used, the streaks and water spots came back the next day.

So I bought three of the most popular cleaning cloths myself, gave them a proper run in my home – and found a clear favourite.

Finally a Streak-Free Home

– My Journey to the Right Cleaning Cloth

I was honestly at a breaking point:

Glass shower doors covered in cloudy marks, mirrors full of streaks and kitchen benches that never looked properly clean no matter what I did.

Regular cloths from the supermarket were a total disaster.

Too flimsy, left lint everywhere and somehow made everything look worse.

I hated it. Hours of scrubbing, sprays that smelt toxic – and still no real results.

Then came one of those moments after a long day.

I had guests visiting in the evening and all I wanted, was a clean bathroom, so I could relax – but after wiping down the shower for 10 minutes, it still looked terrible.

I was so frustrated, I could’ve cried.

A few days later, a friend said to me:
“Why don’t you try one of those new nanofibre cloths? They actually work.”

I was sceptical – but also completely over wasting time and money. So I sat down, did some googling… and ordered three of the most talked-about brands:

  • KoalaCloth
  • Shiny-Wipes
  • MagicWipes

What I wanted to know:

  • Which one really makes a difference?
  • Which one holds up in everyday cleaning?

I used them all around the house for 30 days straight – in the bathroom, kitchen, windows, even the car.

And yes – it honestly changed my life.

Here’s my straight-up opinion of the three most well-known cleaning cloth brands.

3 cleaning cloths, 1 clear favorite:
My unfiltered review

1. KoalaCloth My Favourite After 30 Days

I still remember the very first time I wiped down my shower screen with the KoalaCloth.

It had been driving me mad – streaks everywhere, even after using sprays. But with just a quick wipe, I knew straight away: this felt different.

No smears, no fuss, just clear, shiny glass in seconds. The cloth did the work for me – not the other way around.

What really blew me away:

I finished cleaning in half the time and for once the mirrors and taps actually sparkled without any chemicals.

And after about a week – I couldn’t believe it – my bathroom still looked fresh.

No more daily scrubbing, no more frustration.

Windows, tiles, benches – everything stayed spotless.

The XXL size gave me plenty of coverage, while the nanofibre tech soaked up water and grime like nothing else.

Bathroom, kitchen, windows – I could use it everywhere and it never left streaks.

Even on hotter days, it didn’t just push water around – it absorbed it and left everything dry.

I now use KoalaCloth almost every day – for the bathroom, kitchen and even the car.

For me, it’s clear: KoalaCloth is my personal favourite.

If you want to clean faster, without sprays or streaks, you’ve got to try it.

⚠️ When I ordered, they were running a 50% OFF deal – so I grabbed a few extras straight away. A few for the bathroom, one for the kitchen and a spare for the car.

But be warned: stock runs out quick – some deals were already sold out when I ordered mine!

2. Shiny-Wipes – Okay, But No Real Wow Factor

Shiny-Wipes didn’t exactly let me down, but they didn’t impress me either.

The material felt decent and they did clean a bit, but compared to KoalaCloth they just weren’t as effective.

For small jobs in the kitchen or a quick wipe-down, they were fine.

But when it came to bigger tasks – like the shower or mirrors – it quickly got frustrating.

The cloth needed extra spray cleaner to shift marks and even then it often left light streaks behind.

After a few washes, it also started to look worn out and lost its grip.

I often had the feeling I was doing extra work just to get the same result KoalaCloth gave me straight away.

For beginners, it might be an okay start, but for me it’s not a cloth I’d rely on for proper, regular cleaning.

3. MagicWipes – Not Terrible, But Definitely Not a Long-Term Solution

At first glance, MagicWipes looked alright.

Lightweight, cheap, and easy to grab in a pack. For a quick try, they seemed okay.

But after just a few days of real use, I started having doubts.

On mirrors and glass, instead of properly cleaning, the cloth often just pushed water around and left marks.

It never felt like it was really doing the job.

Worse, it started to shed little fibres after a couple of washes, which only made the surfaces look dirtier.

After a week, the cloth had already lost shape and grip – it simply wasn’t holding up.

For small wipe-ups, it might be passable, but for everyday cleaning it’s just not reliable or durable enough.

Maybe okay as a cheap backup in the laundry cupboard – but definitely not a proper long-term solution for me.

Why GSM (Grams per Square Metre) Matters:

One of the most important metrics when comparing microfibre cloths is their GSM rating.

KoalaCloth: ~600 GSM → thicker, denser, absorbs more water and dirt in one wipe.

Shiny-Wipes & MagicWipes: 200–300 GSM → thinner, less absorbent, smear water instead of soaking it up.

That’s why KoalaCloth doesn’t just feel more premium – it is more premium and you can see the results instantly.

My Honest Verdict

How One Cloth Finally Ended My Cleaning Frustration

After years of scrubbing, wasting money on sprays, and being constantly annoyed by streaky glass and foggy mirrors, I finally found a cloth that actually makes a real difference:

KoalaCloth is hands down my favourite!

From the very first wipe it felt right – quick, effortless and crystal clear results without chemicals.

No more constant re-wiping, no more streaks that came back the next day – I could finally relax and enjoy a spotless home without thinking about cleaning all the time.

Compared to the other brands, KoalaCloth wasn’t just easier to use, it was also noticeably more effective.

For me, it’s been the best cleaning decision I’ve made in years.

And the best part: you can try it risk-free – with a 60-Day Money-Back Guarantee and free delivery.

When I ordered my KoalaCloths, I was lucky – the 6-Pack Bundle was still available. A few days later it was almost completely sold out and only single cloths were left.

If you want to make sure you get the best value, you should act NOW!

Right now they’re running an incredible 50% OFF deal on bundles – and that’s exactly why stock disappears so quickly.

I can honestly recommend KoalaCloth – because today I finally enjoy a spotless bathroom, shiny mirrors and streak-free glass… all without chemicals or endless scrubbing.
